The "Shmita" Sabbatical Project
Each object created in this project represents one stage in the process of clay casting.
I offered my own interpretation of the ancient Jewish tradition of Shmita, a sabbatical seventh year. The old rules, which had been previously applied to agriculture, were translated into my design practice.
My purpose was to examine the relevance of this ancient tradition to the current reality.
You can see some of the design processes on my blog.
